Hotels x 3 in Miami!

Good morning this snowy day!

As it is quite calm at work today I decided to update a little more. Last week I finally finished the bookings of our hotels in Miami, which feels great! We´ll be staying at 3 hotels during our stay in the Sunshine State:) The first was a real good deal that I got on http://www.priceline.com/ using the "name your own price-service". I made a bid on $ 80 for a luxury hotel in Coral Gables, and guess what, it was accepted! So now we are staying the first night in Miami on the Westin Colonnade in Coral Gables which looks absolutely lovely! Here are some pics!

So this was the first place we´ll be staying at. It´ll be just for one night, but on the other hand coming up the next day is the Western caribbean 7-day cruise, so that´ll be fine anyway!

When we are coming back from the cruise, it´ll be my birthday, and what could be better than celebrating your birthday on a real legendary hotel?
Well, I don´t know, but to me it seems to be at least an ok deal to spend the birthday in a legendary luxury hotel like Biltmore Miami.
Here is what they write on their homepage:

"Reflecting the passion and vitality of one of America’s most exciting cities, the Historic Biltmore Hotel of Coral Gables has been a favorite of world leaders, celebrities, and sports stars since its opening in the 1920’s. As a standard setting resort, the Biltmore Hotel showcases championship golf, cosmopolitan dining, a breathtaking spa and premier conference facilities, all the while exceeding most refined expectations. Graced with unequivocal luxury and class, the Biltmore Hotel offers a stunning location in the exclusive Coral Gables area of Miami. Surround yourself by old world charm and beauty as you ease into indulgence and serenity. Welcome to the Biltmore Hotel."

And here are some pics for you folks:

The third hotel we´ll be staying at is not as luxurious as the ones above, but it will be just fine with a central location right at Ocean drive in the Miami South Beach. It is considered a 4-star, and I´ll let you know more about it when I have been there. If you want to check it out, visit the homepage at http://www.mybeaconhotel.com/
So I think this is it for now, I´ll head back to my patients and eventually I´ll try to have some lunch as well.
Biz!

Janvier à Londres...

Bonsoir!!

While I am updating, why not put some of my London pics as well!?
So I´ll tell you some about it:)

A couple of weeks ago I went to London for a short weekend (that passed all too fast, as usual when you´re having a good time). It was 9 years since my last visit to the British capital and it was great to return.

When I was in London the first time, I had not travelled too much, at least not compared to what I have done now... I really fell in love with this city, and I was sure that I would return over and over again. I was also completely sure that on the question "Which of the metropolitans do you prefer, London or Paris?" my answer would be London, of course!

Although my answer has changed and the French capital is one of my favourite places ever now(I could even come to live there permanentely...), London is still a great weekend-break!

I also was lucky enough to have great company, and I think both me and my company enjoyed the visit a lot:) Furthermore it was a very active weekend, including a lot of walking, windowshopping, sightseeing and visits to museums.

I also got to taste my first real british afternoon-tea at Richoux close Picadilly.
The scones and the sandwiches were not that great to be honest, but the atmosphere and the experience still made it worth the money we payed... Though, I have to say, my scones are a lot more Yummy!

Anyway, here comes some pics:)

The girl, Saturday night, close to Picadilly, soon going to dine.

Yes we can! Here she is at the Natural history Museum.

One of the entrances to NHM, London.

Egyptian hall at Harrods, well, we did some shopping there, at least we bought some real homemade fudge:P Miam, miam...

A bit tired after walking all day. Photo is taken on Trafalgar square just outside National gallery where we made a quick tour. Just after this we went for Fish & Chips in SoHo:)

Embankment and Houses of parliament with Big Ben...

She was all soaked by the British rain this day...

London Eye, sadly too expensive to take a tour...

Big Ben!

Looking satisfied at Trafalgar?

Rain, rain and rain... Here she is at Picadilly!

And here as well!

One of the first photos in London, at Oxford circus.
This a small piece of all what we did, we also visited Science museum, The Tower, Buckingham palace, St James´s park and a lot more...
Also got to say we stayed at a nice hotel, Hilton Olympia, maybe not the most central, but with good communications to the most central parts by bus, and also a GREAT breakfast buffet:)
To round up, London was great, I´ll be happy to visit again Inchallah!

Thailand part III and IV

Coucou:)

Eventhough there has been quite some time since the winds and waters of Siam had me in his arms, it does not stop me from sharing some more photos and memories with you, so Enjoy!
